“ByBlacks.com has been covering issues around race since we launched, but there was a definite shift after the killing of George Floyd. A lid was blown and our frustrations spilled over. The articles in this series speak directly to white people about the work they need to do in order to help dismantle anti-Black racism. We’ve gotten feedback from our readers that these articles have helped kickstart difficult but necessary conversations with their white friends, colleagues, or family members,” says Dundas.
Dundas also thanked the organizers of CEMA for helping to amplify Black voices through this award.
