Camille Turner is a Jamaican-born, Los Angeles-based artist/scholar whose Afrofuturist, research-driven practice explores Black diasporic memory and the afterlives of enslavement. Her work has shown internationally, including the 2025 São Paulo Biennial, with a retrospective (Hometown Queen) opening June 2026 at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. She holds a PhD from York University and has won the Toronto Biennial's Artist Prize and a Galeries Ontario award.
