Jessica B. Hill is a fluently bilingual actress and creator that works in theatre, voice, television and film. This summer, Jessica starred at the Stratford Festival, playing Helen in All’s Well That Ends Well and Lady Anne in Richard III for their 2022 season. She has been a company member at the Festival for seven seasons. Jessica is also a playwright, and two of herworks will be produced in 2023: Pandora at the Prairie Theatre Exchange this January and The Dark Lady, a co-production between Shakespeare in the Ruins and Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan. Jessica's recent film credits include: The Boys, Five Days at Memorial, The Kings of Napa and On the Basis of Sex. Having previously completed two years at Stratford's Birmingham Conservatory, she is also a two-time recipient of the prestigious Mary Savidge Award that recognizes an actress who has shown outstanding dedication to her craft. Originally from Montreal, Canada, Jessica is fluently bilingual and works in both English and French. She rapidly established herself in the Montreal theatre scene. Upon her graduation from the Dome Theatre with honours in 2005, she was presented the Brian Cloutte Memorial Award, an award given to the actor that best personifies the values of the profession. She was also the first actor to win the Elsa Bolam Award for an "Outstanding Performance in an Emerging Artist" in 2006 (for her role in Andrew Moodie’s The Lady Smith). Jessica is also a McGill University graduate with great distinction in English Drama Studies, with a minor in French Literature. She currently co-teaches Shakespeare and Chekhov at the National Theatre School of Canada. A member of ACTRA, UDA and CAEA, she works in theatre, voice, games, film and television.
