Hi, my name is Maurice Anderson. I am a registered real estate agent and have been in this profession for over five years. My career has taken me on a different path than traditional brokers when I started my career in my twenties. Growing up in various areas of Toronto I was fortunate enough to move around the city a lot as a child but I did not like it at the time. In hindsight, it is one of the reasons why I am knowledgable of the market in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area. When I initially began my career in 2013 I was working at Rogers’ head office located in Brampton off Dixie and Balmoral Dr. I was employed with Rogers’ for almost seven years and Bell prior to that for two years. Working for two of the biggest communications companies in Canada was able to teach me valuable lessons in how a client should be treated and system managements which is a highly effective trait of a successful real estate agent when it is executed correctly. As a child I was always passionate about homes and I wanted to become an architect but instead I decided to pursue law at the advice of my family and continue my post-secondary education at York University for trilingual psychology but realized that I did not want to do something I did not love. I applied to Orea College at the time and within less than two years I was a licensed agent. Eager to share my knowledge and understanding about the market, two years into my career, I was looking for ways to set myself apart from my competition. I was offered the opportunity to host my own radio show with Carib 101 radio and publish my real estate articles that would be in stores arcross the GTHA via the Toronto Caribbean Newspaper. That opportunity was eye opening and connected me with a vast network of international and local realtors that I use to my clients’ advantage. Realtors’ such as Tatiana Londono from HGTV’s “The Property Shop.” Graduating Humber College in the Multimedia Design & Development Program, now, I have my own media company. that I regularly use to provide knowledge to my clients and promote their properties through all formats of media.
