[REVIEW] Toni Braxton was woman enough for me

We have never seen Toni Braxton perform live.

Recently she had short appearances on the current Reality TV show “The Braxton Family Values”, so we didn't know what to expect.

After heeding to the requests of the impatient Canadian Casino Rama crowd to come on stage; at about 9:17 pm (the scheduled start time was 9:00 pm) the former Queen of R&B took the stage.

Backed by two of her sisters (a third coming on further into the performance), it was clear from the opening number that Toni was back!

Belting out hits from her debut on Eddie Murphy’s Boomerang soundtrack, that distinctive sultry voice was a crowd pleaser. There were some notes though that she didn’t hit, which I thought was more a ploy to save her voice for upcoming shows. Many singers do this. She was scheduled for Detroit the very next day.

The mix of old music videos, clips from the reality TV show and “Biggie Smalls” cover were the highlights for me.

And Toni really connected with the crowd. Bringing couples and guys on stage for 2 of her songs.

People danced at their seats, most singing the words for every song.

Toni, you were definitely woman enough for me!
