Two Time Gemini Award Winning Actor Clé Bennett To Play R. Kelly In Lifetime's Original Movie, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B

 

 Two time Gemini award winning actor Clé Bennett takes on the role of R. Kelly in Lifetime's Original Movie, "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B" premiering November 15, 8/7C.

The movie is executive produced by Howard Braunstein, Debra Martin Chase and Wendy Williams.

The versatile actor is barely recognizable in the released trailers, appearing baldheaded, and hidden behind sunglasses, but his unmistakable comanding presence permeates on-screen.

Bennett's credits range from the critically acclaimed Barney's Version to ABC's Rookie Blue, and CBS's Flashpoint. Bennett has also been featured in the HBO series Sensitive Skin, and The Line, as well as a multitude of other appearances, including Arrow, Cracked, The Listener, Guns, Shattered, and Lost Girl.

The multi-talented actor has also earned a ReelWorld Film Festival Trailblazer Award and an ACTRA Award nomination for Outstanding Male Performance.

Upcoming projects include lead roles in the Brazilian feature film Zoom, from the producers of City Of God; and Borealis, in which Bennett co-stars alongside Kevin Pollak.
