New Book Subscription Service For Cultural Diaspora

(PRESS RELEASE) Toronto, ON. - February 18, 2016. A new and innovative one-of-a-kind Canadian subscription box will soon be available for your one-of-a-kind child right to your doorstep.

Mosaic Book Box finds authors and publishers of hard to find books that represent our young book lovers; Black, Brown, Latin, Aboriginal and South Asian alike.

The creators carefully match the very best in books to your child’s age (0-17 years old) and reading level, combined with cultural experiences to ensure that each delivery creates enthusiasm for parents and young readers. Infants and toddlers will benefit from out-loud reading, while school-aged readers will exercise their vocabulary, spelling and imagination. All the important things that assist with any child’s development.

The Mosaic Book Box creators recognized the challenges of finding books that identify with kids of visible minorities but they also know the successes when a child can identify with characters and storylines. This is how you create young “bookworms”.

“We are happy to fill the void and encourage the love of reading from a young age for both children and their parents. We asked ourselves: What is the price that we would pay to help educate our children with words and images that represent them? The answer: Anything and everything.” -- Marina Phillips-Anderson, Co-Founder

Joining is easy! Upon signing up, subscribers specify the child/children's age and then choose a subscription plan. The cost of the service ranges in price depending on the length of subscription: month-to-month; six months; twelve months. Every three months, a beautiful box will be delivered to your doorstep with featured books awaiting your child’s pleasure.

Soft launch - early subscription - began February 1st in conjunction with Black History Month. The official launch will be in April 2016.
