STAGES Canada To Showcase Up-And-Coming Artists In Jamaica With IrieMon Tour Featured

The stage is set, the backdrop is picturesque, and the talents are excited and ready. After months of work, teasers, and auditions, the Stages Canada brand is now in tour mode, with the first global leg in Jamaica dubbed the “IrieMon Tour.”

STAGES has been one of Canada’s premier artist development platforms since 2015. The team of Stages, alongside committed sponsors, have been gearing up for this moment for years. “We are excited to showcase what is really the culmination of a plan for music and cultural exchange along with artist development,” Carrie Mullings, CEO for Stages Canada, expressed. The IrieMon tour will feature some of Canada’s finest talents headlining and working alongside the emerging artists discovered at each point of the Stages auditions.

The Stages IrieMon Tour will hit Ocho Rios on Friday July 26th, Negril on July 27th, and Montego Bay on July 28th. Performing live will be four (4) time Juno Nominee Ammoye. Natural Fyah, Chizzy Bashment, Chux Starr and Slim Flex will also represent Canada, and Ijahmar, Kadijahh, Deliva, True Blaxxx and Legato will showcase for Jamaica. This promises to be a whirlwind weekend where these artists will get a chance to sharpen each other and showcase their best. Over the years, Stages has been a launchpad and showcase model for over 200 upcoming artists, groups, and bands who had interest in learning how to better present and connect with audiences from the nuanced mentorship of established artists and musicians with whom the up-and-comers also get to share a stage. This tour model has already been successfully tested in Canada with the TOM (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal) tours, and organizers are looking forward to what the Jamaican experience will deliver.

Sponsors with Vision

STAGES, has been happy to partner with Margaritaville; this venue has displayed true vision in opening the space for this showcase and artist exchange. Not only will the sounds of reggae and other genres get to comingle with the rhythm of the sea, but the artists will feel welcomed in its locations across the island that are iconic and uncharted territory for a venture of this kind. In addition, VIBE105 FM in Toronto remains an active sponsor allowing for a continuation of the Stages efforts made on tour. Also important is the presence of other brands which share in the vision and who have given their support to artists on this tour or who remain committed to supporting this global effort from Stages Canada. These brands include VueTure, which is a burgeoning multimedia platform developer that will be instrumental in the visuals for the Stages Tours and brand, and record labels like Kings Krown Music Production and One Hundred Degrees Records that see great potential for these artists post-tour. Not to be forgotten is Fresh Start 4 Youth Services Inc., which will keep the social responsibility element of Stages consistent.

We encourage all Jamaicans to come out and enjoy the tour on each leg, cheer for your homegrown talents, and be re-introduced to artists already garnering global success. Stages IrieMon tour will be irie through and through!
