Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) seeks volunteer board members

Fresh from its recent structural reorganization, the Jamaican Canadian Association extends an invitation to members of the Jamaican and Caribbean diaspora in the GTA,

to apply for available board positions, commencing June, 2014. These volunteer board positions are for two year terms and available offices include President; Vice President; Treasurer; Secretary; Director of Fundraising; Director of Communication and Member-At-Large.

“This is a very exciting time in the life of the new JCA as for more than 50 years, we have been a multi-facetted service provider and now we are transitioning into a more focused and dedicated member-driven entity” says outgoing three-term President, Audrey Campbell. The Jamaican Canadian Association is the largest and oldest Caribbean diaspora organization in the GTA and remains true to its mission: to deliver programs and services, provide a physical hub, and to advocate improving the well-being and equity of Jamaican and Caribbean communities within the Greater Toronto Area.
