In advancing the Division of Students' vision as 'Partners in Student Success' the Manager of Health Services, Education and Promotion provides coordination and leadership to advance York's commitment to creating a healthy campus and to promote overall health and wellness in students across a continuum of well-being.
The Manager of Health Services, Education, and Promotion utilizes university, divisional and departmental strategic priorities, institutional data, industry standards, research, and survey results to guide and inform their work. The Manager acts as a health expert, liaison, and consultant with internal and external partners and provides health assessment, guidance and consultation to staff and clients of counselling services under the Well-being department's purview.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
- Master's degree in Nursing or related Public Health Education field. Undergraduate degree must include a Four-year Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and at least two years of full-time clinical practice experience.
- 728 clinical practice hours in the primary health care Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program and 800 clinical hours in the Adult NP program.
- Registration in good standing as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Three to five years of leadership experience with the emerging adult population, with a focus on health and wellness programming and strategy development.
- Experience in a post-secondary student environment or related field and/or experience in the field of mental health is an asset.
