Now in its third year, the ByBlacks.com People's Choice Awards (PCA) is an annual online award celebration, recognizing Black Canadian artists, businesses, professionals and personalities in over eighty categories. Winners are determined entirely on the public's votes.
ELIGIBILITY
To be nominated, an artist, business, professional or personality must self-identify as Black Canadian, and their business must be majority Black Canadian owned. Business owners and professionals must also have a claimed listing on the ByBlacks business directory in order to qualify.
TIMELINES
The nomination window will be open from November 16 to 30th, 2020. Self-nominations are allowed. The voting window will be open from December 16 to 31st, 2020. Each individual can vote once per day, per category. Winners will be announced on ByBlacks.com on February 1,2021.
AWARD RECEIPT
Due to the current COVID pandemic, we will not be having our eight-year anniversary event and complimentary photoshoot for the award recipients in February 2021.
All award plaques will be shipped directly to recipients by mail.
Winners will also receive digital badges that can be used online.
