Bell’s forward-thinking Customer Operations team is creating the ultimate service experience for our residential, wireless and small business consumers. We lead strategic development and execution of day-to-day operations, develop tools and processes to drive service enhancements, manage customer loyalty and retention, and leverage big data and artificial intelligence to create intellectual property. We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer, DevOps who has experience productionizing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-native applications. The successful candidate will help us define, build, and maintain a machine-learning-as-a-service environment at Bell. Our mission is to enable the customer operations team at Bell to iterate quickly on hypotheses, scale their experiments to enterprise datasets, and efficiently productionize highly-available, fault-tolerant machine learning applications. In this role you will work cross-functionally with data scientists and data engineers across the organization to enable Bell to use machine learning to drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize infrastructure-as-code to apply machine learning methods in production
- Act as a subject matter expert as it pertains to application logs, health monitoring, notifications, and automated-DevOps
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines taking into accounting testing, documentation, version tracking, and deployments
- Build, automate, and maintain machine learning dependencies and artifact pipelines
- Collaborate with product teams to accelerate productivity and maintain product robustness
- Support environment and release management activities in Dev/UAT/Production
Required competencies
- You have experience delivering and maintaining “software-as-a-service” applications via cloud-native architecture
- You have experience with the following stack or similar is a plus: git/Docker/Jfrog/Kubernetes/OpenShift/REST/Kafka/ELK/Prometheus/Grafana
- You are organized and agile; comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize and troubleshoot a variety of technical issues
- You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, TeamCity) and best practices
- You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation
- You have development experience with at least one general programming language (e.g. Python, C/C++, Java)
- You have experience with data processing and storage frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, Redis, HBase, PostgreSQL
- You are self-motivated and can demonstrate enthusiasm via personal projects, Kaggle competitions, publications, or presentations at meetups/conferences
- Skilled communicator with a proven record of leading projects across disciplines
