Roots Community Services is a Black Canadian community program that provides culturally-appropriate programs & services for children, youth, women, seniors and families for more than 30 years. At the heart of our programs is the desire to reduce poverty & help individuals lead healthy and productive lives. Based out of Brampton , Roots CS provides culturally-relevant programs and services to inspire residents in the Region of Peel, primarily from the Black, African and Caribbean communities, to make positive changes in their lives and within their communities. The organization wants to end incidences of anti-Black racism against Black, African and Caribbean communities, as well as other groups which face discrimination. They are passionate about helping Black youth understand their identities, be comfortable and confident with who they are.
