Position Description:
ByBlacks.com is seeking a Digital Content Creator to assist in creating content that will grow our audience.
Reporting to the Customer Success Supervisor, this position provides opportunities to learn various cutting-edge software utilized throughout the organization, including, but not limited to:

Content Management System (CMS) - for updating the website
-
Customer Relationship Management - for managing communications with clients and stakeholders
-
Internal Communications software - to manage team messaging
-
Newsletter – for distributing info for ByBlacks.com and our clients
-
Social Media management software – for promoting ByBlacks.com and our clients on our social media platforms
Key Responsibilities:
-
SEO writing: Review and update Meta Keywords and Meta Descriptions for Directory Listings, Events Listings, Menus and Articles.

Social media: Promote newly published articles on social media channels
-
Social media: Coordinate client’s social media promotions.
-
Social media: Create graphics and copy for new social media campaigns.
-
Copywriting: Create and send newsletters to clients.
-
Other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Creative thinker who can brainstorm and articulate innovative concepts, content, and strategies suitable for a Black Canadian news media brand
-
Successful candidates will have a can-do approach, agility to move quickly, and a desire to create with collaboration.

Experience working with social media management tools such as Hootsuite and Later.

Content Management Systems (CMS) experience in building and updating websites
-
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for communicating with clients
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Above-average creative and copywriting skills

Exhibits a passion for advocating for Black Canadians
-
Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with an ability to work remotely in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment

Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills
Pay Rate:
$17.50 per hour; minimum twenty hours weekly.
Location:
Work duties are performed remotely.
