African Nova Scotia Music Association (ANSMA)

The African Nova Scotian Music Association (ANSMA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development, promotion and enhancement of African Nova Scotian Music locally, nationally and internationally. Since its inception, May of 1997 ANSMA has attracted more than 210 local musicians and music industry professionals as active association members. ANSMA is the primary organization responsible for promoting all aspects of music industry development in the African Nova Scotian communities in Nova Scotia. Over the past 24 years, ANSMA has created a support system for musicians of all ages. Equally important, ANSMA has provided African Nova Scotian musicians with high profile industry networking opportunities; and most notably ANSMA has developed an infrastructure to facilitate access to music industry information and opportunities for African Nova Scotian Musicians.
