2022 ByBlacks People's Choice Awards Winners

After thousands of votes, the results of the fifth annual ByBlacks People's Choice Awards are in!

Here's how it all worked:

The awards were announced in September 2022 and a public nomination process began in October 2022. Our readers submitted their favourite Artist, Book, and Business across several categories. Self-nominations were permitted and the nomination period closed midnight October 31, 2022.

From there, ByBlacks.com selected the top three nominees with the highest number of individual nominations as finalists in each category.

The voting portal opened on December 1, 2022. Readers had until midnight December 31, 2022, to vote, and were allowed to vote once per day.
