Ontario Creates is seeking an accomplished executive leader to help shape one of Ontario's most dynamic and globally recognized sectors.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, you will provide strategic leadership for programs and partnerships that strengthen Ontario's film, television, interactive digital media, and publishing industries. From overseeing significant investment programs to representing Ontario on the international stage, you will help position the province as a global destination for creative talent, business investment and innovation.

About the job
Reporting to the President & CEO, you will:- provide executive leadership for Ontario Creates' Industry Development portfolio, supporting five creative industry sectors: film, television, interactive digital media, magazine media and book publishing
- lead the strategic design, delivery and continuous improvement of industry development and investment programs that strengthen Ontario's creative economy
- oversee a $20 million budget, including transfer payment programs while ensuring sound stewardship, accountability and measurable outcomes
- develop and strengthen relationships with industry associations, government partners, funding organizations and international stakeholders
- represent Ontario Creates nationally and internationally to promote Ontario's creative industries and expand global business development opportunities
- provide strategic advice, presentations and recommendations to the President & CEO, senior executives, ministry officials, and the Board of Directors
- lead a high-performing team through organizational change while ensuring programs remain responsive to emerging technologies, evolving markets and industry priorities
- provide senior-level guidance for a large team while demonstrating the Ontario Public Service leadership behaviours and fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion and excellence

You are a collaborative and influential executive leader with demonstrated experience:- leading and motivating large, high-performing and multi-functional teams in a fast-paced, highly visible, challenging environment
- fostering resilience, driving change management initiatives, and championing transformative, innovative methods and technologies
- leading diverse, high-performing teams while promoting inclusivity and equity
- navigating contentious human resource and labour relations issues
Industry Development and Program Leadership
You have experience:- leading complex industry, economic development, investment or transfer payment programs with significant financial accountability
- developing strategic initiatives that support industry growth, innovation and economic competitiveness
- balancing strategic priorities with operational excellence to deliver measurable outcomes
- anticipating emerging trends, risks and opportunities and adapting programs to meet evolving stakeholder needs
Stakeholder and Partnership Leadership
You excel at:- building trusted relationships with senior executives, industry leaders, government partners and external stakeholders
- representing organizations in complex negotiations and high-profile forums provincially, nationally and internationally
- influencing diverse audiences through exceptional communication, presentations and written materials
- building consensus across multiple interests while advancing strategic organizational priorities
