Nadine Williams
Nadine Williams, a Jamaican-Canadian born in St. Mary, Jamaica, now living in Ontario, has published three poetry collections, two children’s books, and over fifteen Black History Month volumes, widely used in Canadian schools. She regularly presents at schools and universities across Canada, and in 2019, was a guest lecturer at the University of Vienna. Nadine has been honored with numerous awards, including the CIC Volunteer Award (2012) and York Regional Police Deeds Speak Award (2014). As the resident poet for the Caribbean Consular Corps, she supports young writers and scholars. Her current project, "The Fabric of Our Being," raises awareness for the UN’s International Decade for People of African Descent.
