The High Commission of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in Ottawa serves as the official diplomatic mission representing Trinidad and Tobago in Canada. The High Commissioner, appointed by the President of Trinidad and Tobago on the advice of the Prime Minister, heads the mission. Additionally, the High Commission provides consular services, including visa issuance and notarial services, on behalf of the Ministry of National Security and the Registrar General's Department of the Ministry of Legal Affairs.
