Dr. Elon Griffith (DDS)
Dr. Elon Griffith, DD.S., is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and has been a licensed member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario since 1992. Dr. Griffith studied biochemistry at Queens University in Kingston at the undergraduate and graduate level. He is a member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association. Since graduation, Dr. Griffith has pursued further studies in occlusion design. He has been a registered member of the Crown and Bridge Study Club for more than twenty years. He has a keen interest in restorative and prosthetic dentistry. Dr. Griffith has also pursued studies in conscious dental sedation, preventive dental care (the office currently provides the Caries Free Dental Program), oral pathology, the management of clenching and grinding, dental implantology, and in the treatment of specialized populations such as children and the elderly. Dr. Griffith’s bases his treatment recommendations on a thorough oral assessment and diagnosis of each patient’s health. His philosophy is to fully inform patients of his findings and recommendations prior to treatment in the belief that dental education and awareness by the patient is key to dental health and a successful patient dentist relationship. Tennis is one of his greatest passions, both as a player and as a avid fan. Movies are another passion. As well as viewing both old and new films, Dr. Griffith recently had the opportunity to prepare cosmetic dental devices for characters in major motion pictures. Dr. Griffith is a also dog lover and has served as a member of the board of the Toronto Humane Society.

The whole idea of a preventive dentistry practice is what most catches my attention as a periodontist. Dr Griffith and his dental team have built in protocols to best attend any patients needs, focusing on preventive dentistry, to help promote oral health and prevent more extensive treatment in the future.
I recommend Dr. Griffith and Hayden Charles Dental Care to my family and friends and anyone who is looking for excellence in dental treatment and a preventive approach. As once said by the famous Dutch Philosopher Desiderius Erasmus: “Prevention is better than cure.”
