ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content, the role contributes to the administration and operations of the Global Marketing team. Specifically, the focus of the role is to support the team in delivering the organization’s various content marketing programs. This includes research assignments, managing
production services, and supporting marketing and communications logistics.
NATURE & SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct support to the Content team in the following areas (but not limited to):
Website/SEO:
- Assist in build and maintenance of new and existing pages and implement updates on the website, including fact-checking, copywriting, research, UGC/photo sourcing
- Assist with website update requests from internal stakeholders
- Compile and submit support requests for SEO on-page optimizations and assist with implementation of content updates
- Assist with SEO initiatives and deliverables such as on-page optimizations and metadata
Social Media:
- Support Social Media Manager in the development and execution of social content and creative, including, but not limited to, Instagram Stories, sourcing user-generated content (UGC), TikTok trends research
- Provide back-up support on social monitoring and community management
- Assist Social Media Manager in ambassador program initiatives
- Monitor, distribute to team members for action and respond to incoming inquiries in Social Media email inbox
Content Program Support:
- Contribute to ideation for content/editorial calendars with story ideas and social media initiatives, including trends research for digital and social content
- Keep up-to-date information about Toronto in the master content calendar: openings, events, hotel offers and more
- Assist with research needed for evaluating and planning channel strategies (ex. competitive audits, reviews)
- Assist Content team with project coordination and logistics (i.e. fact-checking and research, industry queries, photo/video research & fulfillment, etc.)
- Contribute to completing internal content support requests from other departments, as needed Support &
Administration:
- Administrative budget support, including preparation of Purchase Orders and managing the flow of invoices
- Perform follow-up actions on specific programs and meetings on behalf of the Content team
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries from prospecting suppliers, agencies and paid media sales representatives
- Respond to content submissions from the hospitality & tourism industry
- Execution and fulfillment support for contests. Coordination of promotional materials i.e. giveaways
- Compile data, source screen captures and other content and materials for presentations, reports and proposals
- Provide support to Global Marketing VP & directors where needed
- Provide project coordination & logistical support to the greater Marketing department where needed
- Other administrative tasks, as assigned, including mailing/shipping/couriering, ordering office supplies, promotional gifts, collateral materials, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Experience in and knowledge of digital marketing is an asset
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Adeptly communicates and listens for understanding
- Is detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritization for completion in a fast-paced environment

- Highly proficient in Google Workspace, including Sheets and Slides etc.
- Outstanding verbal and interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with internal and external partners
EDUCATION
- Marketing, communications or public relations training through a recognized diploma or certificate program or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
- minimum 2 years experience working in a creative services, marketing or communications role
- Experience working within a creative agency, or advertising agency is an asset
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, external agency partners, production houses and suppliers is an asset
- Experience in the local tourism industry is an asset
- Experience working with experiential brand(s) is an asset
