They are the trailblazers who built the foundation for future generations.  Today in Canada, there are many Black people making strides in politics, business, law and technology.  And it's important that we recognize Black Canadians outside of sports and entertainment, because our contribution to society goes way beyond that.

The fight against racism and discrimination can be extremely frustrating.  But when we take the time to learn more about Black Canadians who are excelling, we are able to develop a greater sense of hope and motivation.
