Briefly describe the relationship with your father.
My relationship with my father has been a good one that continues to evolve. My Father has always been there for our family as a provider, rock, spiritual man, hard-working, humorous, laid back kind of man. He disciplined us when necessary and taught us what he knew to help us be the best we could be.
How has this shaped the relationship with your children?
My relationship with my children means everything to me! Other than God, they are the reason I live, breathe, go to work, provide and make the sacrifices I do for them. Growing up watching my Dad provide for our family naturally inspired me to want to be able to provide for and protect my children. Due to my Dad working a lot, he never got to spend as much time as he would have liked to and I wanted him to. This has affected me tremendously as I want to make sure I make the time to be involved and engaged in all children's activities, whether taking them to church, going to school functions, coaching them in sports, teaching them music, etc. I just want to be there for them and enjoy my Fatherhood.
What do you enjoy the most about being a dad?
What I enjoy most about being a Dad is watching my 2 sons grow up into little men! It puts a smile on my face. Being there for the process to be able to coach, direct, guide, mentor, teach, etc. Sharing conversations with them, being a role model, playing games with them, eating with them, going to church with them, movies, etc. Basically, giving to them more (time, knowledge & resources) than my Dad gave to me.
