Simone Aba Akyianu
Simone is a lawyer, mother and movement educator, curating workshops on critical race theory for students, educators and community groups.
She's also a graduate of McGill Law, holding an Honours B.A. in Health Studies, Ethics and African Studies. Inspired by her Ghanaian roots, Simone leverages her legal education to service gender, economic and racial justice.
She was previously Legal Counsel for the Canadian Human Rights Commission, working on systemic racial discrimination and housing issues. She also continues to labour for collective liberation alongside Black and queer-led organizations.
