Across Boundaries

Across Boundaries is dedicated to delivering high-quality, personal and family-centered mental health and addictions care specifically for racialized communities,. We operate within a rigorous anti-racism, resisting anti-Black racism, and anti-oppression framework. Our ultimate goal is to foster a healthier society where all racialized communities can thrive. To achieve this, we are focused on several strategic objectives: We are developing and implementing a specialized work plan to address the unique mental health needs of First Nations, Inuit, Metis, and Urban Indigenous communities. Furthermore, we are building a strong coalition and network with like-minded organizations that serve Black, racialized, and other marginalized groups to effectively advocate for and advance systemic health equity across the health care system. A core part of our strategy is expanding our comprehensive Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression (ARAO) training to broaden its impact throughout the health care sector. Finally, we actively partner with academic institutions to conduct vital community-based research, driving advancements in health equity and service delivery for racialized populations.
