Both sisters are nominated for a total of 5 Joey Awards for young Canadian actors. “We are so proud and excited to be nominated and attending the Joey awards,” the youth actress said.
Yvanna-Rose is nominated for:
• Best Actress in a Commercial Age 8-9 (Universitas Financial)
• Best Ensemble in a Short Film (The Silence)
Jaeda is nominated for:
• Best Principal or Guest Starring Actress in a TV Series Age 7-9 (Real Detective)
• Best Actress in a Commercial Age 10 (Mr. Lube in Walmart)
• Best Ensemble in a Short Film (The Silence)
Both girls started acting when they were just 5 years old, and are managed by Angie’s AMTI in Toronto and Ottawa. “I am excited for them because they put in a lot of work and hours in commuting to their auditions that are often in Toronto or Montreal. Acting is not easy, you can have 40-60 rejections for one role, so for them to be recognized in what they love to do is extraordinary and exciting,” said Nadine.
