Director Adrian Bobb Keeps It Mysterious In Short Film The Fore-Men

How did we rate it?  BBBB Extremely Good!

Imagine living within an explosive time-compression event where moments occur in the past and future yet are brought to the present. In addition, you and another person are the two survivors of this phenomenon. Do I have your attention? Good.

Now, know that as you fight for your survival, you will encounter the creatures responsible for the turn of events at hand. This is when you hope your remaining time on earth will not be your last.

Director, writer and visual effects artist Adrian Bobb (Moon Night, EXT) takes us through a sci-fi world that will have you swimming in a well filled with questions while you watch. Gabriel Darku as Roger Faide and Sophia Walker as Dr. Samantha Martin give stellar performances as the sole survivors. It’s a wonder that Bobb kept the work as a short film.

I don’t want to say too much for fear of giving something away. But The Fore-men keeps you at the edge of your seat, anticipating what’s next. You will find yourself inquiring about many things, like what happened during the time-lapse? Where are the creatures from? How did the phenomena occur? So many questions! But those same questions leave you with a sense of an intriguing mystery. It’s a great watch, and the visuals are fantastic.

My only quibble is: I wish it were a feature film.

ByBlacks Rating System:

BBBBB  Outstanding

BBBB    Extremely Good

BBB      Good

BB        Challenged

B          Don't bother watching
