Having attended the 1st and 2nd Black Diamond Ball - this years Ball had a few format changes and special features that added to the whole upscale, chic and welcoming atmosphere.

This year everyone got a seat to view the concert, performances and presentations. Two huge TV screens on either side of the stage in the grand ballroom meant that everyone also had a great view! Notable performer after performer graced the stage and delivered pure energy to around 1000 people! It was stellar!

Multi-Juno Award winner Liberty Silver performed and after her set, she was surprised with a Lifetime Achievement Award by event Host Andrea Bain. Other award winners included 16 year old music phenom William Leathers and Kyle Gervacy for his contibutions to the Fashion Industry.

Other performers of the night included award winning Poet Nadine Williams who recited an orginial poem, Comedian Jay Martin has us laughing to tears, a "rock the runway" type fashion show showcasing designer Kyle Gervacy and Chocolair who took us back with some of his hits. All of this leading up the the main headlinder of the night - Grammy Award winner and Actress MYA! And O.M.G Mya was fantastic!

Other features included the Exclusive Luxe Gifting Lounge, the TD Black History Month Photobooth, the 6+ foot custom designed letters "B.D.B" on the Black Carpet with Avante Garde models, a high-end Haute Couture photo session with a professional photographer, the food and dessert stations and a Black Diamond giveaway by EC Diamonds!

It was an amazing evening of mix and mingling, making connections and chatting up with old friends and making new ones while celebrating #BlackExcellence in #BlackHistoryMonth

Shawn Cuffe and his amazing team have set the bar high - almost unreachable when it comes to organizing and executing a beautiful, breathtaking and billiant event from beginning to end.

They should be extremely thrilled by the success of this years Black Diamond Ball! Congratulations!
