Thats what happened to me about 6 months ago, and I got coerced (by the wife) to do the Dr. Oz 3 Day Cleanse.
It wasn’t easy! The first day, I felt OK, but I was hungry, and peed a lot. The second day felt like I hadn’t slept properly, my head started hurting and I peed… a lot. On the last day I felt OK, better than the two previous days, which was surprising to me. Still peed a lot.
So I thought the day after completing the cleanse I would have binged on some crappy food. Instead now 17 pounds lighter, without any real exercise plan, my eating habits changed, and some other positives popped up.
-
Cravings for sugar decreased, but regretfully not for desserts, which I probably have about twice per week, down from daily.
-
My appetite for condensed milk and milk products diminished. Now I only have the occasional sip of a strawberry milkshake or ice cream at special occasions. And very rarely.
-
My appetite for starchy food (bread, pasta, rice, etc) dropped to the point where we actually stopped buying bread, because we were just wasting it. (still buy the desserts).
-
Blood pressure dropped. Significantly. I’m hypertensive so I would say about 10%, made me go under the normal radar. I could feel the change in my system.
-
I found myself still making the Dr. Oz shakes and I drink them at least 2 times weekly to replace a meal. There’s 3 of them, a red/breakfast, green/lunch and blue/dinner one. The dinner one was the best tasting one, so we normally make that one more than the rest.
It’s been 6 months now since doing the cleanse, and I find that having a salad and meat is good enough for me most times. Popeye’s is still a dangerous place, especially on Tuesdays for the special.
Not sure if this is related to the cleanse, but 6 weeks ago, I gave up coffee after being addicted for over 26 years. I dont like being addicted to anything, and in the process saved a lot of money and trips to Starbucks. My teeth are hopefully heading for white right now.
Not sure you will get the exact results I got, but I highly recommend you try it, if just to reset your body’s system.
