A Whole Lot Of Disco, Pop, And A Dash Of R&B—This Is "TMYLM" By J3M

How did we rate it? BBBB Extremely Good - J3M is a Black Canadian, Ottawa-born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter and pianist who is no stranger to the mic.

As the background vocalist for heavy-hitters such as Tanika Charles, TiKA, and Zaki Ibrahim (to name a few), you’ll no doubt be on your good foot.

The Guyanese descendant uses his talents confidently on his new single “TMYLM.” The acronym for ‘tell me you love me’ is from his EP of the same title.

It’s a space-themed piece, but the track is a radio-friendly dance tune that has the potential to be a chart regular.

The worlds of disco, pop, and R&B collide on “TMYLM.” It’s a catchy composition with a sing-along chorus that you can’t shake—which of course, is the makings of a fantastic retro 80s pop song.

So break out the tye-dye mini skirts and polyester pants. This track is destined to make its way to club dance floors and rooftop parties for the rest of the summer. As they say, ‘it’s a bop.’

J3M has already opened for the likes of the Arkells, Brandy, and Kehlani and performed at events such as Toronto Pride, Afropunk Paris, and SXSW.

J3M is well on his way to wherever his intended destination is. Don’t forget to check out AFRONAUT, the next EP in the series that will be released on August 5.
