Women United Network Business Showcase

Women United Network Business Showcase
Camille Dundas By Camille Dundas
Published on Thursday, February 27, 2014 - 15:28
A female focused business showcase event.

The purpose of this event is to give the female business owners of the GTA an opportunity to grow and connect with other like minded souls.

Creator Makini Smith says she loves to support female entrepreneurs and to give back. As a realtor and CEO of an online retail business she gives thanks by giving. "I see so many women competing and tearing each other down that I felt the need to take a step to edify and uplift," says Smith.

She approached two women who shared her mindset and began to plan this showcase of female owned businesses. All the proceeds are going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ajax-Pickering.

Angel Deen of Angel Fit & Healthy has been on a similar path to uplift women through fitness and health. Beauty Seekrets was created by Monique Prince to encourage women to find their inner beauty and uplift one another. And Smith says it made perfect sense to have Karlyn Percil host since she helps women tap into their inner greatness and fulfill their dreams by redefining the keys to success.

"Together we are W.U.N. - Women United Network!" says Smith.
