The editorial team at ByBlacks.com is proud to announce it is participating in the undergraduate internship program at Ryerson University’s School of Journalism in Toronto. The online magazine is now an official Intern Employer with the university. It is the first Canadian Black-owned media organization to offer internship placements to Ryerson journalism students.

A 24-year-old man who beat a GO bus driver in an unprovoked, racially motivated, senseless and violent attack has been sentenced to 15 months in jail. Rocco Vietri — who, as court heard, has 17 prior convictions for violent crimes — pleaded guilty Friday, Sept. 6 to assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with probation.

Award-winning South African theatre company Isango Ensemble has garnered worldwide acclaim for vibrant productions that reimagine the classics in inventive new contexts.

Bishop Audley M James, founder and visionary of well-known Toronto based Revivaltime Tabernacle Worldwide Ministries, was a highly esteemed man of faith. He impacted numerous lives, communities, churches and governments worldwide. Bishop James passed away July 20 2019 at the age of 81.
