    ByBlacks caught up with one of Toronto’s most promising young artists Camille Lauren, and spoke to her about her motivation, style and launching her first solo exhibition.

    Karlyn Percil, a St. Lucian native and leader in Toronto’s Black Community is hosting the first public SisterTalk event on November 16th.

    Three years ago we produced an erotic poetry show called “Freak Nasty” (since then the name has been softened to “The Sweet Spot”). It was a fun show; hosted by a comedian, with live music, fashion show and a DJ, featuring erotic poets from the USA, and a fresh new Canadian erotic poet named Victoria Grant. It was her first time on stage doing erotic poetry (though you wouldn't really have known it). On January 19th she unveils her inner thoughts via her debut book, 47 Kisses.

    Since 2011 a group of Christian women came together to study God’s word, and from these meetings decided they also want to help girls who are among the most vulnerable in Canada and around the world.
