    He is known as the accomplished Award Winning Gospel artist VaShawn Mitchell, whose name spans the globe; however, his journey to success wasn’t without its challenges.

Saccha Dennis acts, sings and has performed in several productions across Canada, including We Will Rock You , Ragtime, My Fair Lady and Maria Severa.

    You’ve probably seen her as a series regular on Flashpoint as the fierce Leah Kerns, decked out in swat police gear. Or maybe you recognize her from the horror movie Saw 3D, or possibly the Toronto based series The Listener.

    Craig Doyle Henry also known as CDH Live is an accomplished poet, producer, songwriter and rapper who has thrilled audiences across North America including New York City, Chicago, Atlanta and Toronto.

    By day, Yaa-Hemaa Obiri - Yeboah is an inspection officer with the federal government in Ottawa. But outside of the 9-5 realm, she is a singer, songwriter, pianist, and founder of theyvariable.com.

    With the opening just days away now, I spoke with Lua about the World Premiere of cos.mo.pol.i.tan, a DANCEWORKS CoWorks Series Event and part of NextSteps 2013/14 at Harbourfront Centre’s Studio Theatre May 29 to 31, 2014.

    Sunday, February 9, 2014, inside the Rose theatre, six Black comedians take on Brampton. Hosted by Jay Martin, the show also features headliner Keesha Brownie, Trixx, Andrew Searles, Zabrina Chevannes and Sharif. We had an opportunity to speak with Sharif about his comedy style, his inspiration Bill Cosby, and other amazing comics.

    El Jones is one of the headliners for the upcoming Dwayne Morgan produced poetry series, When Sisters Speak. She is an energetic, outspoken activist, who addresses a  lot of systemic race related issues in Canada.

    Rarely do I get to sit down and chat with with my friends about their shows, so it was a stroke of bad luck that our writer was unable to do the interview, and good luck for me that I stepped in to talk to one of the hardest working men in Black Canadian show business; Dwayne Morgan about his 15th annual spoken word concert, When Brothers Speak.
